Welcome

Education

We need to get back to what public education was originally intended to be. Parents, students and teachers working together to make sure our children receive a quality education.  Regrettably instead, we are seeing government and unions run schools and parents are being left out of important decisions regarding their children.  Parental rights are under attack.  Our students deserve better.

Economy

Inflation and recession are two words we hear on a daily basis.  What it means to me is our economic future is uncertain and our daily lives are being affected in many ways.  We can’t predict the future but we can predict the present and most of us know that our families are being affected in every aspect.  Rising grocery prices, rising utility bills and rising interest rates, to name a few, leave us with hard decisions.  Take a look at government response – printing more money and huge spending programs.  We are weighing our grandchildren down with so much debt.  The average American is having to figure a way to prioritize the important things while staying within their budget but our government continues to spend.   Our families deserve better.

Safety

We deserve to be safe in our homes, at work, at school and in our communities.  Safety and being able to defend ourselves is a fundamental right.   We have seen leaders call for defunding of our police which is counterintuitive and doesn’t keep us safe – we need to support our law enforcement and make sure they have the tools necessary to successfully carry out their job and keep us and them safe.  We have leaders that want to prevent individuals from protecting themselves and their families by making laws that restrict them and make it harder for them to be the first line of defense for their family.  Our leaders have armed bodyguards and fences to keep them safe.  Safety is for ALL and we deserve better.

WHEN ELECTED TO OFFICE I PROMISE TO INTRODUCE THE FOLLOWING BILLS IN THE FIRST SESSION:

Come up with minimum standards for Public School Safety and ensure all Delaware schools meet these standards.  This will include both physical barriers, security cameras, school resource officers and any other measure experts believe are needed.  Students, parents and teachers should not have to be worried about school safety.  The funding for this can come from the American Rescue Plan.

Submit a constitutional amendment that Delaware State Police Funding must be maintained to ensure Officer levels are a least at the levels the FBI recommends for our population density.  Citizens should not have to worry that the Police will be “defunded” because of political whims.

A bill that would make places of worship essential during a declared emergency.  During the pandemic, places of worship were forced to close, yet liquor stores were considered essential. People need spiritual and mental well being during these times and houses of worship should not be considered optional.

OUR GENERAL ASSEMBLY HAS BEEN CATERING TO A “NATIONAL” NARRATIVE FOR TOO LONG.

It is time to put the “PUBLIC” back in public policy!  Let me know how I can best serve your family.
